No matter what part of the world you grew up in, you like me, probably grew up on a diet of stories.  However in my day, no one had ever dreamed of a character called Harry Potter.  Instead, the most popular stories were Aesop’s Fables, stories by Hans Christian Andersen, and the Little Golden Books.  But it wasn’t until the late 1980’s, when I did my NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) training that I was introduced to a different kind of story - strategic stories. These stories have nothing to do with the children’s classics, or great works of fiction.

Over the years, my belief in the power of strategic-storytelling was such that when I worked as an academic, I taught strategic-storytelling to all of my Leadership Skills, and Change Management, MBA students. Then around the year 2000, I noticed that strategic-storytelling was being introduced to major off-line companies - the big organizations. And that area of strategic-storytelling has been growing exponentially ever since.
